Prepare for move-out deep cleaning by removing personal belongings, clearing practical access to the quoted surfaces, confirming which rooms and fixtures are included, and identifying anything that cannot be moved or cleaned normally. An empty or nearly empty space can make detailed work easier, but the actual scope still depends on condition, access, surface type, and the estimate.

Remove belongings before the cleaning visit

Cleaning crews should not have to decide whether an item is trash, a keepsake, a tenant possession, or something that belongs with the property. Remove clothing, food, toiletries, papers, decorations, small electronics, loose dishes, and other personal items before the scheduled work.

If items must remain, group them in an agreed location and explain which surfaces should be cleaned around them. Areas blocked by belongings may not be accessible within the original estimate.

Clear light, practical access to surfaces

Move small, practical items from counters, shelves, floors, window sills, and cabinet interiors that are included in the quote. Empty cabinets and drawers only if interior cleaning has been requested.

All Clean Solutions may move light, practical items when requested and included in the estimate. Heavy furniture, loaded shelving, appliances, and items with belongings on or inside them remain in place. Customers can request cleaning around those items.

List the rooms and details that matter

“Deep clean the unit” can mean different things to different people. Build a room-by-room list that may include reachable baseboards, door frames, switch plates, cabinet interiors, window sills, blinds, tracks, bathrooms, grout, reachable vent covers, and floors. Only the areas included in the quote should be expected.

Appliance interiors, wall washing, unusually high surfaces, exterior windows, carpet extraction, heavy grease, or other specialized work should be identified during the estimate rather than assumed to be part of every move-out clean.

Separate cleaning needs from repair or replacement

Cleaning can address compatible soil and buildup, but it does not repair holes, damaged finishes, broken fixtures, permanent discoloration, worn flooring, failed seals, or material that needs replacement. Point out damage and difficult areas during the walkthrough so expectations can be discussed before work starts.

Stain, odor, and buildup results depend on the material, age, prior treatments, source, and condition. No move-out service should promise that every mark or odor will disappear.

Confirm access, utilities, and timing

Provide working access instructions and identify who can approve a scope change. Electricity and water may be needed for the quoted work. If either utility will be disconnected, disclose that before scheduling so the practical service options can be reviewed.

An empty property is often easier to work through, but appointments and completion timing depend on the size, condition, access, requested detail, crew availability, and any additional work discovered. Avoid scheduling another contractor or handoff around an unconfirmed finish time.

Do not treat cleaning as a deposit promise

A cleaning company can document and complete its quoted scope, but it cannot guarantee a landlord inspection result, lease compliance, deposit recovery, sale outcome, or that repairs will not be requested. Ask the responsible property party for its own requirements and provide those details during the estimate.
